Bến Thành Market is a must see when visiting Ho Chi Man City. It’s the oldest and largest marketplace in the city, District 1. This market is full of anything and everything you could want. If you hit the market first thing in the morning 7-8am you can see all the fresh meat, sea food and produce for sale. The sea food is so fresh most of the fish and crabs are still alive and moving.

Later in the morning around 10am the rest of the market comes to life. All the little stalls open up and the place gets crazy. Make sure to hold on to any valuables and get ready to haggle for everything! Foreigners are targets for over pricing! There are some great food stands to enjoy. We ordered some chicken and fried rice for lunch and it was delicious!
