A great camping recipe!


Pizza Nachos


Garlic Cream Sauce
– 1-½ tbsp. butter
– ½ tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
– 1 tsp. garlic, minced
– ½ cup heavy cream
– ¼ cup 2% milk
– 1 pinch salt
– 1 pinch black pepper
– ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

– Tortilla chips
– Garlic Cream Sauce (see above)
– ¼ cup onion, diced
– ½ cup pepperoni, broken into bite sized pieces
– ½ cup red bell pepper, cubed
– 1 cup Colby-Jack Cheese, Shredded

1. Prepare garlic sauce, dice/cube veggies and shred cheese in advance of your trip. Store in ice chest in tupperware or bags.
2. Place layer of chips on the bottom of your skillet. Add half sauce and toppings. Make another layer of chips and add the remaining toppings and sauce.
3. Cook over camp fire with lid on. About 10 minutes until cheese is melted.
