MINT-INFUSED GIN

gin-2

For Christmas last year I gave William a great cocktail/bartender book set.  We have experimented with a few of the recipes. We also recently got a little mint bush. So what better way to put our new little “garden” to good use tan to make flavored alcohol. 🙂

Homemade Mint-Infused Gin

Ingredients:
4-5 sprigs of fresh mint
gin
(we used enough gin to fill a sealed container)

Directions:
1. Muddle the mint leaves slightly.
2. Place the muddled mint in a seal able jar. Add the gin and seal tightly.
3. Shake well. Store in a cool, dark place for 10 days. Shake the jar a few times every day.

Cocktail Suggestion: We put a shot of the mint flavored gin in a cocktail glass with ice. Add seven up. Drink.
